LAHORE: A meeting of the committee on Data Darbar was held under the chairmanship of Senator Ishaq Dar on Tuesday.

The meeting reviewed arrangements for the 967th Urs of Data Ganj Bakhsh Syed Ali Hajwari (RA).The meeting finalized Mehfil-e-Husan-e-Qiraat, Mehfil-e-Naat and Mehfil-e-Sama.

The chairman directed Auqaf and police officers to facilitate devotees and ensure their security.

The meeting was attended by Commissioner Lahore Khusro Parvaiz, Secretary Auqaf Tariq Mehmood Pasha, DCO Lahore Ahad Khan Cheema, DG Auqaf Dr. Tahir Raza Bukhari, Parvaiz Malik MNA, Nazim Hussain Shah, Aziz-Ur-Rehman Chan and Pir Nazim Hussain.

Officers of Police Department, WAPDA, Civil Defense and WASA also participated.

LAHORE: Two back-to-back suicide bombings and a cracker blast killed 40 people and injured over 175 inside the crowded shrine of Hazrat Data Gunj Bukhsh here on Thursday night, Geo news reported.

Lahore: Three suicide bombers struck a famous Sufi shrine in Lahore, Pakistan, killing 30 people, including women and children, and injuring over 100 others.

While one attacker blew himself up at the crowded entrance to the Data Darbar shrine, the second exploded in the basement, where people perform ablutions before entering the complex. (more…)
